Another significant opportunity is the integration of cardless ATM capabilities into the growing ecosystem of third-party fintech applications and digital-only "neobanks." Many neobanks do not have their own physical branch or ATM network and rely on partnerships to provide their customers with access to cash. The ATM screen could greet the customer by name and could be customized to show their most common transaction amounts, providing one-tap withdrawal options. The platform could also be used for targeted marketing. Based on the customer's profile and banking history, the ATM could present a personalized offer for a new product, such as a credit card or a personal loan, either on the ATM screen or as a follow-up notification on their mobile app. This transforms the ATM from a simple cash dispenser into an intelligent and personalized marketing and service channel.

Finally, there is a significant opportunity to leverage the cardless platform to better serve the "underbanked" and "unbanked" populations who may not have a traditional bank account or debit card. A person could, for example, receive a payment or a government benefit in the form of a secure, one-time code sent to their simple feature phone via SMS. They could then take that code to a participating ATM to withdraw the cash. This model, often referred to as "cardless remittances" or "mobile money cash-out," is a powerful tool for financial inclusion. It provides a secure and convenient way for people without access to traditional banking services to receive and access funds. The opportunity for banks and technology providers is to build the robust and accessible platforms needed to support these new and socially impactful use cases.
