A house covered in a subtle layer of atmospheric dust, algae, or pollen absorbs light rather than reflecting it. It looks "heavy."

It implies that the current owner is fastidious. It creates an emotional connection of trust. As a photographer, I can light a room perfectly, but I cannot light away the feeling of neglect. Cleanliness does that heavy lifting for me.
