Verisium also powers Runic Skills, which bypass normal Gem color and Attribute requirements. Frostflame Nova is the named example so far, and it spends Runic Ward instead of Mana or Life. Weird tradeoff. Useful, but risky if your defense depends on keeping that ward intact.

1) Reach Act 3 and find the Mystic Refuge as early as your build allows.

2) Save lower-tier Unique items that look mechanically interesting, not just the obvious damage pieces.

3) Test Runic Skills against bosses and dense packs separately, because ward spending may feel fine in one scenario and awful in the other.

4) Do not overcommit to a poe 2 druid leveling build based on this patch alone. The Druid still has no detailed leveling path in the revealed notes, so any confident guide right now is making assumptions.

New ascendancies worth watching

The Huntress gets Spirit Walker, built around Azmerian Wisps and a hidden Triple Attunement union notable. Natural Order also grants Tame Beast, including Unique beasts such as the Act 3 monkey. That sounds charming. It may also be a balancing headache.

The Monk gets Martial Artist, which pushes unarmed combat, Item Specialization, and Mirror Images that execute chosen attacks. The glove-affix angle is the spicy part, since modified item stats may outclass normal rolls. There is still some debate on whether those bonuses will scale with Dexterity, Strength, or something stranger.

The Infinite Atlas is becoming more geographic. Ritual, Delirium, and Breach-style content now appear in fixed regions, with Ritual guaranteed in a large cluster west of the starting point. That makes planning less random, which I like, though it may also create “correct” routes too quickly.

After the first scouting Tower, The Origins of Divinity arc begins, focusing on the Precursors and The First Edict. Fortresses can lock off map regions until cleared, while controlled maps gain modifiers such as Azmeri Spirits moving from dead Rare monsters into new hosts. Annoying? Probably. Memorable? Also probably.

Old mechanics are not really old anymore

Breach is replaced by Keepers of the Flame, where you stabilize Unstable Breaches before a timer runs out. The Genesis Tree then lets you spend Hiveblood and Wombgifts on biased crafting for item bases and modifier types. Exact biases are still unknown, so do not build your entire economy plan around one imagined outcome.
